A beautiful rose cut Winza Sapphire, bezel set in an open back, sterling silver pendant.
The stone is responsibly sourced and the pendant itself was handcrafted from 100% recycled sterling silver sheet in my garden studio.
What makes Winza sapphires especially rare is their natural, untreated state - many stones exhibit vibrant pinks, purples, blues, or even padparadscha tones, often with striking color zoning within a single crystal. Certain growth forms and color zones (like bluish-violet bands) are characteristic to this locality. These features, combined with the limited and relatively recent supply, make Winza sapphires highly desired by collectors and gem designers alike.
